In this situation I suggest that he can follow this general guidelines for installing and configuring protocols in Windows 2000/2003 Server.

In this section you will learn about installing DHCP on both Windows 2000 and Windows Server 2003 server platforms. To install the server, follow these steps:

1. From the Control Panel, select Add/Remove Programs (Add or Remove Programs for 2003).
2. Click on Add/Remove Windows Components. For Windows 2000, click the Components button at the top of the Add/Remove Programs dialog box.
3. When the Windows Components Wizard appears, select Networking Services and then click Details.
4. From the Networking Services dialog box, select the Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) check box, and then click OK to close this dialog box. Click Next when the Windows Components Wizard reappears. A dialog box displays the progress of the installation.
5. The last dialog box tells you that you have successfully completed the Components Wizard. Click Finish
